Adobe Releases Security Updates

Adobe has released security updates to address vulnerabilities in Adobe Acrobat and Reader. An attacker could exploit these vulnerabilities to take control of an affected system. Therefore, BtCIRT recommends users and administrators to review the Adobe Security Bulletin APSB19-02 and apply the necessary updates.

Cisco Releases Security Updates

Cisco has released security updates to address a vulnerability in Adaptive Security Appliance. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to take control of an affected system. Therefore, BtCIRT recommends users and administrators to review the Cisco Security Advisory and apply the necessary updates.

Microsoft Releases Security Updates

Microsoft has released security updates to address a vulnerability in Internet Explorer 9, 10, and 11. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to take control of an affected system. Therefore, BtCIRT recommends users and administrators to review the Microsoft Security Update Guide and the CERT Coordination Center’s Vulnerability Note VU#573168 and apply the necessary updates.

Cisco has released a security update to address a vulnerability in Cisco Prime License Manager. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to obtain sensitive information. Therefore, BtCIRT recommends users and administrators to review the Cisco Security Advisory and apply the necessary update.

Cyber Security Simulation

The Department of Information Technology and Telecom conducted a “Cyber Incident Simulation” exercise today, November 27, 2018 with support of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). The exercise was designed exclusively for heads of government, policy makers and other high ranking figures to increase awareness on cyber security and preparedness to make critical decisions in response to cyber attacks.
